Will started his career in public investing and management consulting. 

In 2013, he left the corporate world and founded two back-to-back tech startups. His second startup - a talent marketplace that connected startups to finance and consulting professionals - morphed into a search firm in 2016.

He doubles as an angel investor, with a personal focus on investing in AI, aerospace, semiconductors, and professional services software.

Outside of work and family, you can usually find Will on his road bike. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife and their four children.

Star graduated with a B.S. in International Relations and Russian from the Naval Academy, and started her career as a Naval Flight Officer.

She interned with SCGC during her Master's degree at Columbia University, where she graduated with top honors. Following her degree, she worked in executive search at Russell Reynolds Associates, leading VP, C-level, and Board searches across defense, aerospace, and industrials. Now back in tech, these sectors remain her focus areas.

Outside of work, Star is deeply connected to athletics and community service. She’s a former Division I collegiate volleyball athlete and coaches young volleyball players. She is also a dedicated mother who balances an active family life.

David joined SCGC in 2024, bringing extensive technical recruiting expertise to the team. He previously spent a few years as a lead recruiter for startups, including RillaVoice, Abacus.ai, and Data.ai. He also worked in business development and predictive algorithms for Volvo and Luminar, a provider of tech for self-driving vehicles.

David holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in English from Berkeley, which provides him with a strong analytical and communication foundation for his work with SCGC. He specializes in AI, life sciences, and computational biology.

David is also a proficient musician who splits his time between NYC and California. We are still trying to convince him to provide a picture of himself with a white background like everyone else on the team, to no avail.

Minalou joined SCGC in 2025, bringing unique experience in Deep Tech and Climate technologies to the team. Previously an investor at Cycle Capital, Mina diligenced hundreds of investment opportunities from pre-seed to Series B. She also worked at Creative Destruction Lab and Front Row Ventures, the Canadian equivalent of Dorm Room Fund.

Originally from Europe, Mina spent two years studying advanced Mandarin at Beijing's Tsinghua University before earning a Bachelor of Commerce at McGill. She speaks five languages.

Beyond work, Mina is passionate about biodiversity conservation and can often be found exploring forests and botanical gardens, flipping furniture, or engaging in cultural exchange through food and independent cinema.

Iris is an exceptionally hard working and gifted research and sourcing professional. A 3-time Valedictorian (Elementary, High School, College), she graduated with a bachelors in communications with the highest honors from the top-ranked university in the Philippines.

She interned at CNN while in college, then joined Unilever as a Communications Associate on the People team. She joined SCGC in 2021 as a researcher. Iris has an unusual knack for finding needles in a haystack.

She lives in Manila most of the year, but loves to spend time in the Bay, where some of her family lives.

Maddie doubles as a Research Analyst and Chief of Staff for SCGC. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Travel Services from the University of Santo Tomas.

She’s a talented and resourceful researcher with an eye for detail and passion for giving exceptional assistance to our clients and candidates.

Outside of work, she loves to travel and to immerse herself in different cultures and cuisines.
